CSFEP: Partnerships Director

Katie Baldassar is the Partnerships Director for the Climate Smart Forest Economy Program (CSFEP), leading fundraising and partnership strategy to support the organisation’s current work and future growth.


Before joining CSFEP, Katie conducted fundraising and organisational development efforts at several US-based organisations, working across the fields of public health and economic development. She was the founding executive director of Lake County Build a Generation, a nonprofit that engages residents and organisations in the work of community change. Build a Generation’s initiatives were instrumental in securing Lake County’s prestigious 2019 Culture of Health Award from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.


Katie has also served on the Lake County School District Board of Directors (including terms as president and vice-president), on the El Pomar Foundation’s High Country Council, and on the Mentorship Committee for the Women’s Leadership Connection of Southern Oregon. She holds a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, an M.A. from the University of California at Davis, and was a Gates Family Foundation Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School (Program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government).
